Brief history of Barangay I - City Hall ( Poblacion)

Barangay Uno is located at the heart of Tangub City.  It was founded in 1968 under the time of Mayor Alfonso D. Tan.  There are only two existing puroks in the barangay, Purok 1 and Purok 2.

Barangay Uno is located right at the heart of Tangub City.  Its sense of history lies in its being the seat of the city government.  Buildings that house the various offices of the city are located in the area.  Mayor, then later on Gov. Alfonso Tan and The Tan family who were the political leaders for almost five decades also reside in Barangay Uno.
