Brief history of Barangay Santa Cruz

Barangay Sta. Cruz is one of the 55 barngays of Tangub City. It was established in 1926, a cadastral survey when Tangub was already named. In the past this place was just a sitio of Barangay Labuyo.

There was a “Missionary Priest” who appeared in this place and commended top people.  The Logagay family, along with other earliest and most prominent inhabitants made a big cross and put it in the chapel.  From this gesture, the barangay   was named Sta. Cruz.  The Holy Cross brought by Logagay family was from Cebu.  This was the time when the barangay was under Tenyente del Bario, Agustin Camasura.
