He leaves behind a legacy of dedication, compassion, and remarkable achievements throughout his life. Born on February 24, 1942, Edilberto was a man of unwavering commitment to his community and a shining example of hard work. For four decades, he served the Department of Education (DEPED), dedicating his professional life to shaping young minds and fostering a love for learning. Edilberto's influence and dedication touched the lives of countless students and educators, leaving an indelible impact on the education sector. In addition to his esteemed career, Edilberto served as a three-term city councilor, demonstrating his passion for public service. During his time in office, he dedicated himself to the betterment of his city, tirelessly working towards its progress and development. His unwavering commitment to serving the public earned him the respect and admiration of his constituents and colleagues alike. Edilberto Luague Gripo is survived by his loving wife, Gloria, who stood by his side throughout his journey. He was a devoted father to his three daughters, Lored, Cleofe, and Ethel ( Mervin), who carry his values and spirit within them. Edilberto was a doting grandfather to eight grandchildren, Cleophil Kaye, Clyde Angelique, Philip Jon Axel, Philip Bryan Gabriel, Claire Gled, Whit Kyle, Princess, and Therin. Additionally, his great-grandson, Axel James, brought him immeasurable joy and laughter. A funeral service will be held to honor Edilberto's life on July 15, 2023, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. The funeral mass will take place at St. Michaels Parish, where friends, family, and community members will gather to pay their final respects and celebrate the impact he made on their lives. To commemorate his distinguished service as a public servant, a necrological service will be held at the People's Gymnasium. This event will allow the community to come together, sharing stories, memories, and gratitude for the invaluable contributions Edilberto made during his time in public office. Edilberto Luague Gripo will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
