ABOUT THE SERVICE:
Business permits are to be paid annually on or before January 20 by all business  establishment owners. For new enterprises, the business tax is based on initial capital. For on going business, it is based on prior year’s gross sales and maybe paid annually, semi-annually  or quarterly. A 25% surcharge on the amount of tax due and a 2% interest on the unpaid tax is  imposed for failure to pay the tax on the prescribed period.

REQUIREMENT(S):

For new business:

  • Barangay Clearance
  • Securities and exchange commission articles of incorporation (for corporations) Department of Trade and Industry business name registration (for sole proprietorships) Cooperative development authority registration (for cooperatives)
  • Official receipts for:
    • Fire inspection fee
    • Health Certificate
    • Business License
    • Garbage and other fees
  • Notarized lease contract (if building/stall is rented)

For renewal:

  • Barangay Clearance
  • Notarized lease contract (if building/stall is rented)
  • Official receipt for the fees, etc.
  • Prior year’s mayor’s permit

TAXE(S) and FEE(S):

  • Business taxes- based on type of business and capitalization (new enterprises)  Annual gross sales (existing enterprises)
  • Mayor’s permit- based on gross receipts
  • Fire inspection fee
  • Sanitary inspection fee/Health Clearance  
  • Garbage fee

Step Service Details
1 Client: Go to the City Treasurer’s Office.
Client: Submit duly accomplished application form and required documents.
Service Provider:  Receive, review and validate application form and requirements.
Time Needed:  10 minutes

Client: Wait while onetime assessment is done.
Service Provider:  Conduct onetime assessment based on documents received.
Time Needed:  25 minutes

Client: Pay the amount as assessed and get the official receipt.
Service Provider:  Receive payment and issue official receipt.
Time Needed:  10 minutes
Person to Approach: Melchora Padillo, Nellie Linganay
2 Client: Proceed to the City Mayor’s Office.
  • Give the official receipt and documents to the releasing officer
  • Get the business plate and official receipt and
  • Sign the logbook.
Service Provider:
  • Record the official receipt
  • Release the business plate with the official receipt and documents after the client signs the logbook.
