Application of Business Permit


Business permits are to be paid annually on or before January 20 by all business establishment owners. For new enterprises, the business tax is based on initial capital. For on-going business, it is based on prior year‘s gross sales and maybe paid annually, semi-annually or quarterly. A 25% surcharge on the amount of tax due and a 2% interest on the unpaid tax is imposed for failure to pay the tax on the prescribed period.

CHECKLIST OF REQUIREMENTS
New Business Permit Unified Application:

  1. Proof of registration i.e., Certificate of Registration
    • Issued by the SEC for all kinds of corporation;
    • Issued by the cooperative Development Authority for Cooperatives;
    • Issued by the DTI for Sole proprietor.
  2. Proof of right of application to use location as business address, which may include any of the following:
    • If owned, proof of ownership- transfer Certificate of Title or Tax Declaration;
    • If not owned by the applicant -Contract of Lease, Memorandum of Agreement, or written consent of property owner.
  3. Location plan or sketch of the location, clearly showing where business premises is located.
  4. Fire Safety Inspection Certificate for Occupancy, valid in the last 9 months (requirement of (BFP)
  5. For applicants with valid FSIC for occupancy, affidavit of undertaking that there had been no substantial changes made on the building /establishment given the FSIC (requirement of BFP)

Renewal Business Permit Unified Application

  1. Proof of Annual Gross Receipts which may include
    • Audited financial statements (“AFS”) unaudited AFS For those who are not required to file AFS with the BIR or
    • Sworn declaration of gross sales or receipts or
    • Income tax returns

2 Client Steps: Pay the amount as assessed.
Agency Action: Receive payment and issue official receipt.
Fees to be Paid: -Business taxesbased on the type of business and capitalization  - Mayor‘s permit (based on gross capital) - Fire inspection Fee (15% of regulatory fees) - Sanitary inspection fee -Health Clearance(P100.00) - Garbage fee - Building inspection fee - Electrical, plumbing inspection fee - Business plate and certificate (P450.00 ) (Please refer to the Tax Revenue Code of Tangub City for fees not specified above)

Person Responsible:  Local Revenue Collection Officer II from the City Treasurer's Office
3 Client Steps: Receive the Business Plate, Business Permit, Barangay Clearance and Official Receipt and Sign in the log book
Agency Action: Release the Business Plate with the official receipt and documents after the client signs the logbook.
