Availing of Psychosocial Services for Children Needing Special Protection


Women who are victims of violence and whose needs are deliberately deprived/unattended to by their family may seek for counseling services from the City Social Welfare and Development Office.

  1. Barangay Certification/referral (1 original and 2 photocopies) from Barangay Office
  2. Birth Certificate for minors(1 original and 2 photocopies) from the Client/ City Civil Registrar Office
  3. Marriage Certificate (if applicable) (1 original and 2 photocopies) from City Civil Registrar Office
Steps Service Details
1 Client Steps: Go to the CSWDO, approach the PACD and present the requirements to avail of the service.
Agency Action: PACD examine the completeness of the required documents and endorse the client to the focal person on women for interview

2 Client Steps: Proceed to the focal person on women for interview
Agency Action: Conducts interview, give initial counselling, records client’s presented problem and arrange for a home visit and follow up counselling with family members.

3 Client Steps: Be present with the family members during the scheduled home visit and follow up counseling

4 Client Steps: Update the social worker on any progress of the case at home.
Agency Action: Record and assess client’s update of the case to determine the need for further management.

4.1 Agency Action: Conduct client monitoring until the case/problem is solved.
